Winter: Four Seasons with Seven Hills
KICK OFF CINCINNATI EARLY MUSIC FESTIVAL WITH 7HB AT OUR WINTER CONCERT!
Escape the cold and join 7HB to kick off Cincinnati Early Music Festival for our enchanting winter concert!
Our second concert of the season will feature music which evokes the scenes and moods of winter: frost, icy winds, falling snow, and desolate landscapes. But winter is not always so bleak - we have also experienced the joy of playing in the snow, huddling around warm fires, and time spent around hearths and tables with loved ones. Experience these scenes and feelings - and more - through the lens of baroque music, performed on period instruments.
7HB’s own Lindsey Tootle will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Winter from The Four Seasons. Also enjoy selections by masters Corelli, Bach, and Purcell, a cello caprice by little-known composer Dall’Abaco - and One Winter’s Night, a frosty folk tune arranged by Lindsey for baroque ensemble.
30% of donations we receive associated with this concert will benefit Lighthouse Youth Services, as 7HB’s wish is for more children and families in Cincinnati to have warm homes and hearths this winter. You may find more information about LYS on their website; they’ll also be present at our concert, and you’re also welcome to contribute to them directly.
