Huntsville, Alabama native Lindsey Tootle is an award-winning Baroque violinist currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and joined 7HB in 2023 as Promotions and Media Manager and chief Baroque violinist.

Praised for “bewitching” performances and her often humorous and witty onstage charisma, Lindsey has captivated audiences as a soloist with 7HB and in recitals across the U.S. She has performed with Harmonie Universelle (USA), Seven Hills Baroque, and alongside musicians from the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra and New Trinity Baroque. She also performs alongside members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in the Bach Ensemble at St. Thomas.

In 2024, Lindsey co-founded Bama Baroque, a new early music ensemble in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, set to debut in 2025. In the same year she was elected to Early Music America’s Emerging Professional Leadership Council (EPLC), where she works with other early music leaders to promote early music across the Americas.

Lindsey studied both modern and Baroque violin and historical performance practice at the University of Alabama under Gesa Kordes, Dr. Don Fader, and Jenny Gregoire, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. Outside of music, she works as a paralegal at an immigration law firm and volunteers for several immigration-related causes.

In her free time, you might find her running, exploring the outdoors, visiting family and friends, watching Alabama Crimson Tide football, or trying out historical recipes (and making up new ones). Lindsey has been a resident of Cincinnati since 2021, where she resides with her husband, John, and their very silly cat, Pepper.
